Rotary Club of Pinellas Park Website
Updated:2018-03-01 16:14 by
In 1996 Charlotte and I moved to the Bayou Club in Pinellas Park from Holiday Park in St. Petersburg. I then transferred from the Rotary Club of St. Petersburg West to the Rotary Club of Pinellas Park and became their first club webmaster http://www.rotarypinellaspark.org The club meets every Thursday noon at Banquet Masters on 49th Street and Ulmerton, and visitors are welcome. Every month the club honors Students of the Month at Dixie Hollins High School, Pinellas Park High School, and Richard L. Sanders School. The high school students and their parents are invited to lunch, the students tell a little about themselves and their studies, and receive plaque and $50. Quarterly the club cooks breakfast or dinner at the Ronald Mc Donald House by All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg. Also quarterly, the club holds a Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) fund raiser and awards PHF recognition for each $1,000 donated to the Rotary Foundation which supports sustainable service projects such as the eradication of polio world-wide. Each summer the club sponsors two high school students to attend the week long Seminar for Tomorrows Leaders (S4TL) at Florida Sounthern college in Lakeland Florida. Annually at the holidays the club provides turkey and gifts for all children to 40 needy families. Also annually the club gives scholarships to St. Petersburg College students. See "Rotary" category for more about this Rotary Club
z390 Portable Mainframe Assembler and Emulator Website
Updated:2018-03-01 16:41 by
In 2004 I left Micro Focus and started my own company Automated Software Tools Corp., and started development of z390 written entirely in J2SE Java for portability supporting Windows, Linux, and Apple OSX Java platforms. You can download the open source z390 software here: http://www.z390.info/ I made several presentations at SHARE on Z390 which you can find on the website. Melvyn Maltz added support for CICS: http://www.z390.info/z390_Documentation.htm I added support for zCOBOL Portable Mainframe Compatible COBOL compiler that produces z390 portable assembler source code. The zCOBOL compiler first uses a J2SE Java translator to convert COBOL source file type .CBL into z390 macro assembler source file type .MLC. Then zCOBOL macro libraries are used to translate the .MLC source file into z390 relocable object code file type .OBJ which can then be linked with other object files and zCOBOL runtime to create executable z390 file type .390. See more about zCOBOL here: http://www.z390.info/zcobol/

In 2016 I created this ROSNF hub to support registering Rotarians and Rotaractors as ROSNF members who can then be approved to join the ROSNF Facebook group.
IDIAC Simple Machine Language Emulator Website
Updated:2018-03-01 16:51 by
In 2017 I decided to see how fast and how far I could go with the original simple 10 instruction IDIAC machine taught in my first computer science class at USF. The IDIAC machine has 10 single address instructions and 100 words of memory. This website written in PHP implements the IDIAC virtual machine and includes an assembler and machine language input capability either directly or from source files. In addition execution of IDIAC programs can be traced and monitored for elapsed time and total instructions executed. See example IDIAC programs to calculate prime numbers and perfect numbers.
